The attached legislation that was submitted by the State Board regarding changes to Title 59 is in trouble because of a dispute between house and senate leadership.  The house members listed below will not allow the bill to be heard in the house unless the senate author (Sen. Newberry) allows a piece of legislation that they want heard to be heard in his committee.  Unfortunately, they are holding our bill hostage in the process; and Sen. Newberry has no vested interest in our bill and was just running it as a favor

It is extremely important that in the next couple of days the representatives listed below are notified by citizens of the state of Oklahoma and especially any constituents we have in their districts to tell them that SB 1496 is something they should be supporting (and not hold it hostage to make a point to the Senate leadership) and to allow it to be voted on in the House.  I have included their email addresses and links to their pages that gives information about what cities and towns are in their districts.
